Cat Laser Declawing
is it ok to declaw my one year old male cat?
i have a male and a female cat. Gotti, my one year old male has some claw issues. he loves to play and we have encouraged that highly. he never scratches furniture but my boy Friend and i both have scars from him scratching us. he always attacks the company we have over, just intending to play, but he actually really has hurt some people. he is the most loving cat i have ever owned but the claws have go to go. im Just so worried that he wont be the same old gotti after the surgery and i want to know how much pain he will be in. he recovered very well from the sterilization surgery three months ago, but what will happen after declawing. i am thinking about the getting the laser alternative
i also forgot to add that he cant stand when anyone touches his legs or paws. we have tried everything, tirmming (which i have many scars from) about $300 is every scratch pad, post, imaginable, even the emery cat. we have tried the pedi paws but it scares him. i just dont know what to do
Just trim his claws. Declawing is a mutilating surgery, and could potentially leave your cat with a lifetime of pain. Its illegal everywhere except the US and Canada for a reason, its torture. Trimming his claws will cost you about $10 for the clippers and that’s it. Please do NOT declaw.
